What Is Google Cached Snapshot Of A Page?

Google cache is the snapshot that google took of a certain page as they crawled the web. The cached version basically shows you what a certain page looked like when google crawled it.

How can the google cached snapshot of a page help you!

Looking at the google cached snapshot can give you useful information. It will tell you when the last date google crawled your page. If you notice that Google crawled your page a long time ago (more than a month ago) this will tell you that you might need to update your site more often with more information. It is not uncommon for some of the larger sites on the internet to get crawled everyday. Some sites like "news" sites get crawled every few hours. This happens becuase google wants to always have the latest news sources in their index of results.
