| Choosing A Great Hosting Provider |

Everyday is seems like there are one hundred new hosting companies springing up out of nowhere these days. Well I don't know exactly how many there are but I do know that if you type in the phrase "hosting services" there are currently over four hundred and seven million websites listed in Google.
With so many people getting on the internet it makes sense that there would be a HUGE demand for hosting however most of us don't know where to start when it comes to finding a great host.
Before you can upload a site to the internet for everyone to view you will need to have hosting.
Below you will find my outlines for choosing a hosting provider.
"Must haves" for any hosting provider
Linux / Unix Server Hosting: Almost 95% of sites can be hosted on this platform. This platform is the most requested because most scripts and web applications require this type of platform.
Unlimited Domains: Any host that you choose should allow you to host an unlimited amount of domains with them without charging you anymore than your monthly fee. If you are paying per domain to host then you are paying too much.
Unlimited Email Addresses: You should have the ability to create as many email addresses as you like as well as email address forwards
Unlimited MySql Databases: MySql databases become very useful if you are installing scripts or adding cool features to your website. You will want to be sure that your web hosting provider gives you an unlimited amount of MySql databases.
Control Panel: Every host should give you a administrative control panel. This is a place where you will get to control all aspects of your domain. You can add email addresses, upload files, check your web stats and install scripts and just about everything else. When it comes to hosting control panels I always prefer Cpanel or Hsphere. Both of these control panels are very easy to learn and use.
Web Stats: You will need to make sure you have the ability to check your web stats for every domain you host. Your web stats will show you information about your website such as where you website visitors are coming from, how they found you, and which pages are the most popular.
PHP: For me I always choose a host that has the capabilities to run .php code. More and more sites are switching to .php for the simple fact that you can do more with .php than you can with .HTML Even if you don't have any .php scripts now its always a good to feature to have incase you decide later down the road. It seems like 99% of web hosts offer this option. So far I have not seen a host that does have this feature.
24/7 Support: Not being able to contact your hosting support is the #1 reason I would CANCEL an account with a hosting provider. Make sure you hosting provider has a dedicated support that works around the clock 24 hours a day and no less. You never know when your website might go down and you need to contact support to get it back up and running.
Daily Backups: Make sure your hosting provider does backups of all their sites daily. You wont believe how much you will need this is you ever loose your hard drive or if your site ever gets hacked into. If you have a backup you can always just revert to that and your website files wont be lost for good.
99.% Uptime Guarantee: Make sure your hosting provider offers 99% uptime guarantee or greater. This will tell you that your hosting provider isn't going down often.
Hosting is the one unchangeable tool that isn't dependant upon what business field you are going into or what type of product you are promoting. Any successful online business will need a stable hosting provider so make sure your choice is a good one because your hosting provider will be part of the foundation on which your business is built on.
The web host I recommend to anyone that wants to start their internet marketing business is Host Gator. This hosting provider offers everything I listed on this page and more. They have great support and even better prices. The have been ranked "top pick" numerous of times by the most reputable hosting review companies. You can choose their shared hosting or if you need even more control over your sites you can upgrade to their dedicated server hosting.
